Prep: Earned four letters in baseball and twoin football... Each season of high school he raised his battingaverage and lowered his ERA, hitting .419 as a senior with a 1.5ERA... Named to the all-district and all-state teams as well as aNorth/South All-Star as a senior... Also named first-teamall-district as a junior and senior and second-team all-state as ajunior... In football was a two-time all-district pick as well as afirst-team all-state and North/South all-star in his finalcampaign, playing wide receiver, quarterback and tight end...
