2010: Played in just one game for the Bears in his sophomore season ... In a Feb. 28 game against his former school, New Mexico, Fanning went 2-4 with an RBI and a walk.
2009: Sat out the entire season due to transfer regulations... Named to the Monfort College of Business Dean's List.
2008 (at New Mexico): Hit .375 and earned Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors.
2007 (at New Mexico): Tallied seven stolen bases in seven attempts and hit .296 as a freshman... Earned Mountain West Scholar-Athlete honors.
Prep: Earned seven letters in four sports at Cheyenne Central with one each in football and track & field, two in golf and three in baseball... Was the Wyoming State Player of the Year and MVP in 2006 and earned first-team all-state honors in both 2005 and 06... Set the American Legion stolen base record in 2006 with 91... Hit .411 as a junior and .456 as a senior... Was valedictorian, National Honor Society member and a four-year 4.0 honor roll member.
Personal: Born June 7, 1987 in Cheyenne to Dennis and Lori Fanning... He has one younger brother, Kyle... Is majoring in business management at Northern Colorado.
