Mascot & Cheer Team Appearance Request Form
All mascot appearance requests must be submitted using the Mascot & Cheer Team Appearance Request Form (see below).Â
Request TimelineÂ
Requests should be received at least two weeks prior to the event. Requests will be responded to within five (5) business days. Submitting a request does not guarantee an appearance.Â
Appearance Fees
New full appearance fee structure is pending.
All Non UNC Athletics Sponsors: $100 for 2 hours max.
Payment: Checks made payable to UNC Athletics
Additional Appearance Requirements
Accurate directions, location, on-site contact and on-site number must be provided.Â
A private and secure changing room must be provided for the mascot to change and keep belongings during the appearance. Water, preferably bottled, must be provided to the mascot.Â
The mascot cannot be required to be inside the suit for longer than 45 minutes at a time before taking a break. If appearance is outdoors or temperatures are extremely high or low please allow extra breaks during the allotted time. The mascot is unable to perform in severe weather.Â
A friendly and safe environment must be maintained. Mascots reserve the right to walk away from any appearance deemed unsafe or harmful.Â
The mascot will have a handler attend each event. All bad weather and unsafe situation calls will be made by the handler and mascot.Â
Cheer team appearances do not include a performance (routine). Please note that individual cheers are not counted as a performance.Â
