2011: Pitched in 21 games, third most on the team and posted a 1-1 record with three saves... Threw 24.2 innings, allowing just 12 earned runs and struck out 17... Opponents hit .293 against him and he had a 4.38 ERA.
2010: Appeared in eight games on the mound for the Bears as a sophomore, throwing 13 innings total ... Finished with a 13.15 ERA ... Racked up 10 strikeouts ... In his final two appearances of the season, he threw two innings of shutout baseball.
2009: As a true freshman, pitched in 14 games with six starts... Tallied a record of 2-5 in 35.2 innings thrown... Struck out 19 and walked 23 with one pickoff... Picked up his first career victory at Nebraska, throwing 90 pitches in five innings in a 10-7 win over the Huskers.
High School: Was a first-team all-league selection in 2007 at Highlands Ranch as well as an honorable mention all-state selection... Helped lead the Falcons to the Continental League Championship.
Personal: Born April 22, 1990 in Denver... The oldest of two children of Ed Steinmetz and Lori Conrad with a younger sister, Emelia... Plans on majoring in business.
