2010: The ace of the Northern Colorado pitching staff as a junior ... Finished with a record of 9-2, including an ERA of just 3.06 ... Sawicki was a workhorse all season, leading the team with 97 innings pitched ... Also led the team with 67 strikeouts ... Named to the first-team All-Great West ... Also named the Great West Pitcher of the Year ... On May 8th, against the New Jersey Institute of Technology, he pitched a complete-game, allowing just one run on six hits ... He also struck out a season-high 12 in that game against NJIT.
2009: Started in four games with an ERA of 5.95 in 19.2 innings before suffering a season-ending injury... Walked just nine and struck out 13, allowing just 13 runs in those four games... Surrendered no home runs and just three extra-base hits... Had a record of 0-1 on the season... Received a medical hardship for the season and will be a junior in 2010.
2008: Pitched in 12 games, starting in seven... Pitched 52.0 innings with a record of 1-4... Pitched seven innings in a win over Florida International, striking out five and walking just one in a 13-9 victory... Struck out a season-most seven in a win over Montana State-Billings... Struck out 33 batters on the season while walking just 16.
2007: As a true freshman, appeared in 12 games with three starts for the Bears... Threw 24.2 innings, striking out 18... Went 5.2 frames in his longest outing at Kansas, giving up just one earned run... Struck out a career-best five in the final appearance of the year against Utah Valley on May 6.
High School: 2006 graduate of Monarch... Earned all-conference honors his senior season and posted around a 3.00 ERA for his career with the Coyotes... He and current Bears teammate Mike Raudenbush helped earn 2005 and 2006 legion state championship titles and a regional runner-up in 2006.
