2011: Played in 55 of the team's 56 games and started in 54... Hit .306 for the season and had a 1-1 record on the mound with an ERA of 6.05... Named to the Great West All-Tournament Team after hitting .500 and striking out six in his one appearance on the mound... Also named to the Great West All-Academic team... Finished second on the team with 28 walks and was one of seven players to record double figures in doubles with 10.
2010: Batted .326 in just his second season as a Bear ... Appeared in 45 games, making 36 starts ... Hit eight doubles, one triple and three homeruns ... Also batted in 31 RBI while scoring 38 runs ... Also made nine appearances on the mound for the Bears, pitching 18.1 innings ... Finished with a 1.47 ERA and eight strikeouts ... In a home game against Air Force, went 3-6 with four RBI, three runs with a double and a triple.
2009: Missed the first part of the year with a broken bone in his hand, but returned to play in 22 games overall, starting in 17... Saw action at second base, third base and on the hill for the Bears, appearing in four games with a 1-0 record... In those four games, he threw 9.2 innings... Hit .250 with nine of his 16 hits going for extra bases... Started in five different spots in the batting order, hitting anywhere from fifth to eighth and second.
Prep: A 2008 graduate of Chatfield, he earned four letters in golf and three in baseball for the Chargers... In his senior season he posted a 2.20 ERA and .430 batting average en route to earning both all-conference and all-Colorado honors... Also was named all-conference as a junior.
Personal: His father Michael also played baseball for the Bears... Is the youngest of three children of Michael and Cindy Coy with a brother Ryan and sister Cara... Is pursuing a degree in secondary education.
