2013 Great West All-Conference First Team: May 20, 2013
2014: Appeared in 19 games during his senior season … Threw for 25.2 innings with 15 strikeouts, an average of 5.26 per game … Allowed just one home run … Pitched for multiple innings five times, including going 2.1 without allowing an earned run in a 6-2 win against Air Force on April 29.
2013: Broke the school record for saves with 10... Combined with Josh Tinnon for two complete game shutouts... Was also 4-3 in 24 appearances and had a team-best 2.27 ERA... Threw 43 2/3 innings, walking just 18 and striking out 24... Opponents hit just .242 against him... Surrendered just one home run all year... Named to the Great West All-Conference First Team... Went six straight appearances without allowing a run... Has appeared in 59 games in his career for the Bears, which is tied for sixth in school history.
2012: Pitched in 19 games, starting in three… Had a record of 1-3 with a 4.46 ERA… Combined with three others for a shutout at Texas-Pan American on May 13… Recorded a stretch of 10.2 innings without allowing an earned run between April 29 and May 25 (4+ outings)… Finished the year with a 1.9 strikeout-to-walk ratio… Walked just 12 in 42.1 innings of work and did not record a balk.
2011: In his first year with the Bears, he appeared in 16 games with two starts... Posted a record of 0-2 with a 7.23 ERA in 23.2 innings of work... Allowed 19 earned runs, walking nine and striking out 14... Was the only on the pitcher on the staff not to hit a batter during the year.
High School: One year letterman for Regis Jesuit High School and head coach Steve Cavnar… Played infield and pitched for the Raiders.
Personal: Son of Tony and Lee Anne Willman … One older and one younger sibling … Older sibling, Joe, is a current Bear baseball player … Born Sept. 12, 1990 in Walnut Creek, California, but calls Aurora, Colorado home.
