2013 Great West Pitcher of the Week: May 17, 2013
2014: Started 14 of 16 games from the mound while leading the team in innings pitched … Threw 93.0 innings, including two complete games, which ranks seventh in the WAC … Led the team in ERA at 4.48 … Fourth in the WAC in strikeouts with 71, and sixth in strikeouts looking with 19 and strikeouts per game with 6.87 … Second in the WAC in runners picked off with four … Opponents hit just .292 against him … Made six putouts and 24 assists for a fielding percentage of .938 … Allowed just three hits with four strikeouts in 6.2 innings during an 8-4 win at Chicago State on May 10.
2013: Went 5-5 with a 3.83 ERA... Pitched two complete games... Appeared in 11 games, starting in nine... Threw in 51 2/3 innings, striking out 47 and walked just 19... Didn't allow a home run all season... In four outings, didn't allow an earned run... Struck out 14 in back-to-back outings in Great West action... Struck out six in the first round of the Great West Tournament, allowing four hits over seven innings in a 13-1 victory over Chicago State.
2012: Appeared in 16 games, starting in nine… Struck out 41 and walked just 10 in 54 innings of work… Posted a record of 6-1 with an ERA of 4.83… Had a stretch of 21.2 innings without allowing a walk from March 30 at Seattle through April 28 at North Dakota… Pitched three complete games with one shutout (10-0 over NYIT, April 13) and led the team with his six victories… Was fourth on the team in innings pitched.
2011: Appeared in 17 games for the Bears, starting in seven with a 4-5 record as a true freshman... Was fourth on the team with 44.1 innings thrown and he struck out 32... Opponents hit .297 against him for an ERA of 6.90.
High School: Two year letterman for the Spartans of Greeley West and head coach Brian Holmes… Honor roll member from 2008-10 … Helped Greeley West to the state final four in 2010, while racking up 83 strikeouts in 70 innings for the Spartans … Garnered all-conference and all-state honorable mention honors in 2010 … Was named a team-captain for the Spartans during his senior campaign … Played summer ball with the Slammers.
