2010-11: In the 1000 free, posted a season-best time of 11:22.51 at San Diego State (Jan. 7) and clocked a 19:08.40 in the 1650 free at Northern Iowa (Nov. 13) to help the Bears to a pair of dual victories over the Panthers and South Dakota State... In the final dual against New Mexico State (Jan. 21), timed a season-best 2:20.39 in the 200 backstroke... Named to the MPSF All-Academic Scholar-Athlete team.

2009-10: As a true freshman, placed 20th at the Conference USA Championship in the 1650 free, taking over a minute off her career-best time with an 18:14.95... Also swam a personal best time of 5:20.41 in the 500 freestyle... Took five seconds off her previous best time in the 200 yard backstroke to finish 25th at the Conference USA Championship with a time of 2:16.07.

High School: Swam for the Mountain Lions of Mountain View High School and Coach Nicole Bird ... Lettered in swimming during all four years at Mountain View ... Earned All-Conference recognition during 2005-06 season ... Team placed 8th in State Competition her senior campaign ... Participated in the National Honor Society ... Made the honor-roll all four years.

Personal: Born on Nov. 1, 1990 to Gary and Wendy Hurd in Loveland ... Has one older sister, Alexandra ... Also recruited by California Lutheran and Whitworth University.
