- In his first season with Northern Colorado, Mitchell played in all 10 games including starting against Southern Utah, Sacramento State and Montana.
- He recorded 30 tackles on the year including a huge 14 tackle game against Montana State.
- Mitchell also forced a fumble at Northern Arizona.Â
At Glendale CCÂ
- Racked up a team-high 83 tackles his sophomore season at Glendale CC in 10 starts
- Also hauled in 2 INTs
- Finished second on the team in tackles his freshman season with 55, once again starting all 10 games.
- Also had 3.0 TFLs and 1 PBU.
High School: Was a three-sport athlete at Monarch High School in Colorado... Competed in track, football and basketball... Earned All-Conference honors two seasons in a row in FB... Was named to the All-Colorado team his senior season, and was dubbed the Defensive Conference Player of the Year... Was voted the team captain in 2014... Led team to a 4A state title in 2013.
Also recruited by New Mexico State, Wyoming and New Mexico.
Is the son of Nancy and Phil Mitchell... Has two older siblings... Plans to major in Business at UNC.
