2018
- Played and started in 10 games for the Bears.
- Led the team with 10.5 tackles for a loss including a program DI record 4.0 in the game at South Dakota.
- Finished third on the team in total tackles with 65.
- Had one sack in the game against McNeese State.
- Made game sealing interception in win at Southern Utah.
- Recorded a season high 11 tackles against UC Davis.
- Academic All-Big Sky member.
- All-Big Sky honorable mention.
2017
- Stelzner came in and earned the starting inside linebacker for Northern Colorado.
- He finished third on the team with 83 tackles, most among linebackers.
- Stelzner had four double digit tackle games with a career-high 13 twice against Idaho State and Sacramento State.
- Ended the season with 4.0 tackles for a loss and 1.0 sacks along with one forced fumble.
- Academic All-Big Sky member
At Santa Rosa JC: Led the team in tackles, notching 68 tackles his sophomore season at Santa Rosa... Also recorded an impressive 15 TFLs, two sacks and one INT, which he returned for a touchdown, helping lead the team to a 9-2 record... Tallied a season-best 12 tackles and three TFLs at Fresno on Sept. 10... Named Defensive Player of the Year for the CCCAA and earned First Team All-Conference honors.
High School: Was a two-sport athlete at Montgomery High School, played baseball and football... Earned First Team All-NBL honors in 2014 and Second Team All-League honors in 2013... Led team to a Semifinal appearance his senior season... Finished his final year of football with 104 tackles.
Was also recruited by Cal Poly, Portland State, Eastern Michigan, UMass and UTEP.
Personal: Son of Patrick and Emily Stelzner... Has two siblings... Plans to major in Economics/Engineering at UNC.
