- Played in 10 of 11 games for the Bears.
- Started at safety all year long.

- Tied program's DI record for interceptions in a season with four.

- Recorded season-high 10 tackles in season opener against McNeese State.

Led his team to the second round of the playoffs for the first time in 33 years...Played on both sides of the ball at QB and OLB... Was also the team captain for three seasons... Part of the National Honor Society and on the honor roll.
Boyd is the son of Kameka and Sherand Boyd... Plans on majoring in Special Education at UNC.
