2016: Overton continued to be a staple on the Bears defensive line as a senior... Started all 11 games and ended the season with 34 total tackles, including 4 tackles for loss. He added 1.5 sacks and recovered 3 fumbles.
2015: Was a constant at defensive tackle for the Bears in his junior season... Played and started in all 11 games and ended the season with 40 tackles (13 solo 27 assist), 2.0 TFLs and 2.0 sacks... Also had 2 PBUs and 1 fumble recovery.
2014: Played in seven games for UNC one the defensive line... finished the year with 11 tackles (9 solo 2 assisted)... Recorded three tackles twice, once at Eastern Washington and the other at Weber State... Also earned two sacks at Weber and a forced fumble at Eastern Washington.
2013: Did not see any field time during his redshirt freshman season.
2012: Redshirted.
High School: Made 32 total tackles while playing defensive line for Carman Ainsworth... Named to the Big Nine All-Conference team as a senior... Was named Carman Ainsworth's team captain before his senior campaign... Also played basketball and ran track for the Cavaliers.
Personal: Born December 17 in Flint, Mich... Is the only son of James and Wanda Overton with three sisters, Lauren, Morgan and Mariah... Hopes to major in business.
