2018
- Played in 10 of the team's 11 games including starting two.
- Formed a big 1-2 punch for UNC at the tight end position with Theron Verna.
- Made 11 catches for 66 yards.
- Scored his lone touchdown of the season against South Dakota where he also had his season high receiving yards with 32.
2017
- Played in nine of the team's 10 games recording a reception in seven of them.
- He had 13 catches for 165 yards and a touchdown for the season.
- His lone score of the season came on a 27-yard pass against Colorado.
- He recorded a season-high three receptions against Southern Utah and Cal Poly.
- His season-high for receiving yards was 43 against SUU.

2016
- McCauley had a solid season appearing as the starting tight end in all 11 games for the Bears.
- Recorded 259 yards receiving for 2 touchdowns.

2014
- Redshirted.
High School: Earned Second-Team All-State honors as well as First-Team All-Conference in 2013. Is also a four-year starter on the Bruins' lacrosse team. Named MVP of the offense for Cherry Creek. As a senior, caught 37 passes for 508 yards and six touchdowns. Helped Cherry Creek win the Centennial Conference title and finish fourth in the state.
