2015: Missed the first half of the season do to a wrist injury...played in three games at offensive line.
2014: Played in six games in his debut season at offensive line, helped the Bears rush for 1,180 total yards, which is an increase from the previous year...Saw first action at home against Sacramento State on Oct. 11.
2013: Redshirted.
High School: Named to both the All-Conference and All-Region teams as a junior and senior as well as an All-State honorable mention selection in his final two seasons... In his senior season was named the defensive lineman of the year in the Fox River Classic Conference, but will play offensive line for the Bears... Also named one of the top 40 players in the state... In addition to football, he also wrestled and was a thrower on the track & field team as well as played junior varsity basketball... The Ships went undefeated through the regular season in both 2011 and 2012, winning the conference championship both years... Academically, he was named to the honor roll every semester and earned an academic letter award as a senior.
Personal: Is the youngest of three children of Derek and Susan Bown with a pair of older sisters, Meagan and Kaitlyn... Born May 5 in Manitowoc... Majoring in Geology with an emphasis in Environmental Sciences.
