2014: Appeared in four games on the mound during his freshman season … Recorded three strikeouts in 2.1 innings pitched … Made his first appearance as a Bear at New Mexico on March 1.
High School: Graduated from Grandview High School in 2013… As a senior he was named to the All-Centennial League First Team and to the senior All-State game... Helped the Wolves to back-to-back Centennial League Championships... In 2013, went 5-1 on the hill with 34 strikeouts in 46 innings pitched with an ERA of just 1.52... Hit .533 in 2012 with two home runs and 16 RBI... Also won four games on the hill with one save and a 2.73 ERA... Named to the honor roll every semester all four years and was a three-year Academic Letterwinner... Tabbed to the Academic All-State First Team in his final campaign, and helped lead the Wolves to the Final Four.
Personal: Is the youngest child of Rod and Christa Johnson with an older brother Matt, and an older sister, Natalie… Born April 14 in Denver, Colo… Majoring in criminal justice.
