2014: Added power to the lineup while playing in 49 games … Led the team with five home runs and 25 RBI’s … Second in slugging percentage with a .425 average, doubles with 11 and extra-base hits with 17 … Averaged .242 from the plate and .333 for on-base percentage … Scored 17 runs and stole three bases … Made 79 putouts and three assists in 83 total chances for a fielding percentage of .988 … Led off the season with a two-RBI triple at Sam Houston State on Feb. 14 … Recorded a three-hit day with two doubles, two runs scored and two RBI’s in a 6-4 win at Chicago State on May 11.
2013: His longest hitting streak of the year was 12 games -- the second-longest of the team... Had seven multi-hit games and four multi-rebound games... Played in 48 games, starting in 40 and hit .263... Fourth on the team with nine doubles and stole six bases... Had a slugging percentage of .415 and an on-base percentage of .404.
2012 (at Northeastern JC): Played in 46 games, hitting .235… Had a slugging percentage of .493 after 16 of his 32 hits went for extra bases… Hit six doubles, one triple and nine home runs and was 2-for-3 in stolen bases… Also had 25 RBI.
2011 (at Northeastern JC): Redshirted.
2010 (at Northeastern JC): Hit three home runs as a freshman and .205 for the season.
High School: Graduated from Mountain View High School in 2009, earning all-conference honors as a senior after hitting .418… Team captain… Earned three letters in baseball and two in football, playing tight end… Broke the school record for stolen bases.
Personal: Is the middle of three children of Ken and Debbie Netzel with an older sister, Ally and a younger brother, Danny… Born Oct. 22 in Colorado Springs… Majoring in criminal justice.
