2014: Started 13 of 31 games played in at outfield … Hit .240 from the plate while totaling 12 hits … Third in triples with two and in stolen bases with four … Drove in four RBI’s and scored six runs … Finished with a slugging percentage of .320 … Made 21 putouts and one assist for a fielding percentage of .957.
2013: Played in 33 games, starting in eight... was five for six in stolen bases... Used as a pinch runner on numerous occasions... Went 2-for-3 in a start against Nebraska Omaha... Had a career-best five putouts in a midweek start against Air Force... In the final home game of the year, suffered a season-ending injury.
2012: Redshirted.
High School: Lettered eight times for the Miners, four each in baseball and football... Was named to both the All-Region and All-State teams in both his junior and senior years... Team captain as a senior... Played on the 3A Utah All-State game... Led the team as a senior with a .512 batting average and led the entire region with 31 stolen bases... Named to the honor roll his final three years... The Miners finished in the top six at state his final three years.
Personal: Is the only child of Kent and Diane Cashel... Born Dec. 11 in Salt Lake... Hopes to major in sport and exercise science.
