2014: Played in 47 games while leading the team in runs scored with 22 … Also led in walks with 27 while placing 10th in the WAC with 0.57 walks per game … Second in stolen bases with five and sacrifice hits with five … Finished the season with a .220 batting average and a .344 on-base percentage … Recorded 69 puts outs and 134 assists in 220 total chances for a fielding percentage of .923 … Third on the team in double play conversions with 22 … Put up 10 multi-hit games, including a three-hit day with one run scored at Utah Valley on April 25.
2013: Played in 56 of the team's 57 games, starting in 55... Hit .301 en route to being named to the Great West All-Conference Second Team... Stole seven bases and was second on the team with nine sacrifice hits... Was also second on the club with 31 walks... Scored 38 runs with a .359 slugging percentage... Tallied 15 multi-hit games and had the team's second-longest hitting streak with 12 games... Hit .351 in Great West Conference games, playing in starting in 26 of 27 games and stole 4-of-6 bases.
2012: Played in 55 games as a true freshman, starting in 50… Hit .319 and ended the season on a six-game hitting streak… Hit .444 (4-for-9) with the bases loaded and hit an amazing .526 (40-for-76) as a leadoff hitter… Was second on the team with 13 doubles and led the way with eight sacrifice bunts… Stole five bases, tied for third-most on the team… Had 47 of his starts at second base, while the other three were at short stop… Hit either first or second in the lineup all season… Drew a season-high 43 walks, which is the seventh-most in a single-season at Northern Colorado… His longest hitting streak of the year was seven games.
High School: Earned three varsity letters in baseball, playing several positions in the infield... In 2010 was an All-State Second Team selection at shortstop... Also named to the 2010 Hawai'i State Division I All-Tournament Team, as well as the All-Conference Second-Team... Named to the 2007 (13-15) Babe Ruth World Series All-Defense Team and the 2005 (12U) Cal Ripken World Series All-Defense Team... Punahou has claimed the Division I state baseball state championship title seven consecutive years..
Personal: Is one of two sons of Ed and Jeanne Yamane with a brother, Michael... Born Nov. 3 in Honolulu... Hopes to major in business.
