2014: Started all 49 games played in, including nine starts at pitcher … Second on the team in RBI’s with 23 and third in batting average at .277 … Totaled an on-base percentage of .376 and a slugging percentage of .329 while recording 48 hits and 22 walks … Hit seven doubles and one triple while also scoring 18 runs … Stole two bases … Made 14 appearances on the mound for 39.0 innings pitched … Struck out 21 batters for an average of 4.85 per game … Logged 118 putouts and 16 assists for a fielding percentage of 1.000 … Helped turn 11 double plays … Recorded four RBI’s on two hits in a 6-2 win against Air Force on April 29 … Struck out a season-high four batters in 3.0 innings pitched at Kansas State on March 15.
2013: Named the Great West Player of the Year according to College Sports Madness and a Second-Team All-Conference selection by the Great West... Named to the Great West All-Tournament team after hitting .520 with a slugging percentage of 1.160... Also went 1-0 in the tournament with a 5.06 ERA in 5 1/3 innings in the tournament... For the season, hit .375 with a team-high 18 doubles, five triples and six home runs... Had a team-high six sacrifice flies.... On the hill, went 6-4 with a 4.58 ERA... Pitched 70 2/3 innings, walking just 26 and striking out 50... Named to the ABCA All-Midwest Team.
2012 (at Northeastern JC): Ranked 18th in NJCAA statistics in ERA at 1.68… Went 7-2 in 52 games and 69.2 innings pitched… Allowed just 13 earned runs with 98 strikeouts, all while walking just 13… Averaged 1.28 strikeouts per inning pitched… Also hit .433 with 21 doubles, five triples and four home runs in 164 at bats… Had an on-base percentage of .530 and committed just one error in 93 chances.
2011 (at Nebraska): Played in nine games as a true freshman, starting one in the field… Hit .154 for the Huskers with two RBI.
High School: Miller was one of the best all-around players in the state of Colorado under head coach Brian Smela at Mountain View High School… Set school records for batting average (.568), hits (46), doubles (13), slugging (1.025) and on-base percentage (.511) en route to leading the Lions to the 2010 Class 4A state championship… Also hit eight home runs and compiled a 9-0 record on the mound with a 0.76 ERA and 97 strikeouts… Was named to the Loveland Reporter-Herald Pitcher and Player of the Year in 2010… Played in the Colorado Rockies Top 50 baseball game at Coors Field in 2010… On the football field, named the 2009 Tri-Valley Conference Defensive Player of the Year from his defensive end position.
Personal: Born July 27 in Loveland… Is the oldest of two children of Mark and Kathy Miller with a younger sister, Kaitlin… Is a sport & exercise science major.
