2012: Played in 39 games, starting in 36 with 34 starts behind the plate and the other two as designated hitter… Named to the Great West Conference All-Academic Team… Missed the beginning of May due to an injury… Hit .188 for the year with three doubles and one triple… Tied for second on the team with five sacrifice bunts… Was also third on the team with eight hit-by-pitches… Recorded 11 RBI… Had four multi-hit games throughout the year… Hit in the bottom third of the lineup in 37 of his 39 starts.
2011 (at Palomar): Team captain as a sophomore... Hit .340 for the year, including a .400 mark in conference play.
2010 (at Palomar): Hit four home runs with 22 RBI in his first year at Palomar... Had a .350 batting average for the season.
2009 (at Pacific): Redshirted.
High School: Graduated from Grossmont High School in 2008... Was a three-time all-conference selection and named to the all-CIF team in 2006-2008... Earned three letters for the Foothillers... Was a four-time honor roll selection... Helped lead the team to four-straight CIF Championships.
Personal: Is one of three children of Dave and Kathy Baum... Has an older sister, Crystal and an older brother, Justin... Born Sept. 3 in La Mesa, Calif... Majoring in business.
