2013: Played in all 12 games to total 21 tackles; 18 solo and three assisted... Put up five tackles and an assisted tackle for a loss against Northern Iowa on Sept. 21… Also made four solo tackles in the season-opening win against Langston on Aug. 31.
2012: Played in nine games, starting in two... Recorded nine total tackles on the year and recovered a fumble at Sacramento State... Had a career-best two tackles three times, including two solo stops in the win at Portland State.
2011: Did not play in a game for the Bears... Switched back to the defensive side of the ball during spring drills and is now playing defensive line.
2010: Redshirted... Transitioned from linebacker to fullback during the spring.
High School: As a senior in 2008 was a second-team all-conference selection in the Colorado League as a running back and an honorable mention pick as a linebacker... Caught an 80-yard touchdown pass to secure the win over Bennett and secure the Titans a spot in the playoffs.
Personal: Is majoring in sport & exercise science at Northern Colorado... Is one of three children of Mike and Heidi Gackle... Younger brother Ryan is also on the Bears’ football team and he has a younger sister, Megan.
