2011 Big Sky All-Academic: January 25, 2012
2013: Anchored the defensive line while playing in all 12 games… Second on the defensive line with 55 tackles, 16 solo and 39 assisted... Made six tackles for a loss of 25 yards, 3.5 sacks for 18 yards and blocked a kick… Recorded a season-high nine tackles, one for a loss, at Idaho State on Oct. 12.
2012: Started in all 11 games at defensive tackle, recording 41 tackles, second-most among linemen and sixth-most on the defense... Totaled a career-best eight tackles at Utah and against Northern Arizona... Had at least one tackle in all 11 games and has now had one or more in 22 straight... Broke up a pass in the win at Weber State and blocked a kick in the season finale against North Dakota.
2011: Played in all 11 games, starting the season opener against Lindenwood... Recorded 31 total tackles, with at least one in all 11 contests... Had 10 solo stops... Twice had five tackles in a game (at Montana, vs North Dakota)... Forced a fumble at Colorado State... Recorded a quarterback sack at Idaho State... Blocked a punt against Sacramento State, for a 16-yard gain... Named to the Big Sky Conference All-Academic Team.
2010: Redshirted.
High School: As a senior was both an all-conference selection as well as an honorable mention All-State pick for the Angels... Also helped lead the rugby team to the 2009 state title.
Personal: Is the youngest of three children of Paul and Selma Smith with an older sister, Tamica and an older brother, Paul Jr... Born Sept. 19 in Denver.
