2013: Played eight of 12 games while totaling two tackles; one solo and one assisted... Assisted tackle came in the season-opening win against Langston on Aug. 31 while the solo was made at Idaho State on Oct. 12.
2012: Did not play football.
2011: Played in six games as a true freshman, mostly on special teams... Recorded two total tackles, one each against Lindenwood and Colorado State.
High School: Played a multitude of positions for the Titans, including linebacker, defensive tackle, quarterback and wide receiver... Was a three-time all-conference and all-area selection... Holds the school records with 148 tackles and 47 tackles for loss in his senior campaign... Also named to the all-state first team in both 2009 and 2010.
Personal: Is the middle of three children of Mike and Heidi Gackle... Born Feb. 11 in Colorado Springs... His older brother, Matt, also plays football for the Bears and he has a younger sister, Megan... Is pursuing a degree in sport & exercise science.
