GREELEY, Colo. — The Northern Colorado track & field team heads south to Boulder this weekend to compete at the Colorado Classic, hosted by the University of Colorado inside the Indoor Practice Facility. The two-day meet runs Friday and Saturday, Feb. 6-7, and will feature a deep field of collegiate competition across sprints, hurdles, middle distance, distance, jumps and throws.

Field events open the meet on Friday, while Saturday features a full slate of running prelims and finals, including the 60 meters, hurdles, middle-distance races and relays.

LAST TIME OUT: The University of Northern Colorado indoor track & field team posted another strong day highlighted by record-setting and finals performances, as Camaria Corder reset her own school record in the triple jump for the second straight weekend with a winning mark of 13.07 meters, while Alexia Austin and Daniel Beckford both advanced to finals in the 60-meter hurdles, with Beckford placing third on the men's side and Austin finishing seventh for the women. Monique Stewart added a fourth-place finish in the 800 meters, and the Bears rounded out the day with competitive efforts across sprints and relays, continuing a stretch of consistent progress and record-book movement for the program.

UP NEXT: Northern Colorado continues its indoor schedule next weekend at the Don Kirby Elite, hosted by the University of New Mexico at the Albuquerque Convention Center. The two-day meet runs Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13-14, and will give the Bears another opportunity to build momentum against a strong field as they continue sharpening performances ahead of the Big Sky Indoor Championships.
