Marshall Claims Long Jump Win on Day One of Colorado Classic

BOULDER, Colo. - Northern Colorado opened the Colorado Classic on Friday with a strong showing in the field events, highlighted by a win in the men's long jump and multiple podium finishes.

Digby Marshall led the way for the Bears on the men's side, winning the long jump with a mark of 6.42 meters. Moise Bennett added a third-place finish (6.35m), while Tyler Rogers placed second in the high jump after clearing 2.06 meters. Bennett and Jameson Rembert also recorded clearances of 1.81 meters in the high jump, with Rembert adding a 25th-place finish in the shot put (12.07m).

On the women's side, April Necaise posted a runner-up finish in the high jump with a clearance of 1.61 meters, and Ciara Piffarerio followed with a fifth-place result at 1.56 meters.

The Bears continue competition Saturday as the Colorado Classic resumes with a full slate of events.
