Northern Colorado falls 17-9 and 6-4 despite early offensive bursts
GAME 1 | LOYOLA MARYMOUNT 17, NORTHERN COLORADO 9

Northern Colorado's offense put up nine runs on nine hits but couldn't keep pace with Loyola Marymount in a 17-9 loss.
The Bears jumped out with five runs in the first, highlighted by a three-run homer from Sabrina Javorsky, who finished 2-for-3 with four RBIs. Amailee Morales also contributed, going 1-for-3 with two RBIs, while Katie Walling and Ella Gonzales each drove in a run.
Despite the strong start, LMU responded with 17 runs, including four home runs. UNC's pitchers struggled, allowing 18 hits and 14 earned runs. Isabelle DiNapoli took the loss, surrendering 12 runs (11 earned) over 3.1 innings.
GAME 2 | LOYOLA MARYMOUNT 6, NORTHERN COLORADO 4
Pitching: (W) J. Hubbard (3-1); (L) Anna Wilming
UNC built an early lead with home runs from Morales, who went 3-for-4 with three RBIs, but Loyola Marymount surged ahead late to secure a 6-4 win.
The two teams were tied 4-4 after four innings, but LMU's two-run fifth made the difference. Jazzy Longo added a RBI walk, while Krista Francia, Nya Chacon, and Walling contributed with key hits.
Anna Wilming started in the circle, allowing six runs on 12 hits over five innings, striking out two. Despite solid defense with no errors, UNC couldn't overcome LMU's late push.
UP NEXT
The Bears will face off against the Lions one more time tomorrow afternoon at 11 a.m. MST. On Tuesday, UNC will travel to Long Beach to take on the Sharks at 7 p.m. MST at the LBSU Softball Complex.
