GREELEY, Colo. – Hannah Lindsay joined the Northern Colorado Softball staff as an assistant coach, head coach Dedeann Pendleton-Helm announced on Thursday.
Lindsay joined the Bears after serving as a graduate assistant at South Dakota last season. There she supported the coaching staff in all aspects of operating the program. That extended to coaching, administrative duties, and student-athlete mentorship.
"I am so excited and grateful for the opportunity to join the UNC softball program," Lindsay said. "Thank you to Coach Pendleton-Helm and the entire coaching staff for welcoming me so warmly! I can't wait to learn from this staff and assist in continuing the program's success. Go Bears! "
Prior to her time at South Dakota, Lindsay played softball at the Division I level as a catcher spending her first two seasons at New Mexico State before transferring to Iowa for her last three seasons.
At Iowa she earned a Big Ten Player of the Week honor after hitting .667 across four games in the Lion Invitational at East Texas A&M with 16 RBIs and three home runs. She also was named to the Big Ten All-Academic Team. During her time at New Mexico State, she was also named Academic All Western Athletic Conference.
Lindsay finished her college career hitting .302 with 65 RBIs and 19 home runs.
While competing at the college level Lindsay began her coaching career with four years as an assistant coach at Gear Up Catching and three years as an assistant coach for Rogue Fastpitch Club.
"We are thrilled to welcome Hannah Lindsay to our Bear family as our new assistant softball coach," Pendleton Jones said. "Coach Lindsay brings a fresh perspective, strong knowledge from her successful playing career at Iowa and New Mexico State, and valuable coaching experience from working with a regional team in South Dakota last year. We are excited for the energy, leadership, and passion she will add to our program."
