The Bears recorded a season-high 19 runs in the game two win over the Roadrunners after falling in game one, 11-7.
Game 1:
MSU-Denver used three big innings to score the four-run victory over UNC. The Roadrunners plated nine in the second through the fourth innings to take game one.

The Roadrunners regained the lead the very next at bat with a four-spot to go up 7-2. MSU-Denver held the Bears to no runs over the third, fourth and fifth innings, eventually taking an 11-2 lead after two more runs in both the fourth and sixth.
UNC resuscitated its bats in the bottom of the sixth posting three runs to cut its deficit to 11-5.
With the bases loaded and one out, a wild pitch plated center fielder, Kaley Garcia who singled to get on base earlier in the inning. Right fielder, Kenzie Kudrna earned a walk to reload the bases and second baseman, Sarah Fitzherbert singled down the left field line to bring home first baseman, Rachel Johnson who also singled to lead off the inning.
Left fielder, Madi Schmidt earned the final RBI of the inning with a seeing-eye single through the left side before designated player, Lauren Paige lined out to end the inning.
Down to its final three outs, Northern Colorado got one more run from Garcia. Garcia sent a screamer to dead center to make bring it to the final score of 11-7. The homer was also the third of the year for the sophomore.

In Coach Easley's Words:
"That last game was so helpful in building confidence for us offensively and having so many people getting hits up and down our lineup. That's a really good shot in the arm as we go into this weekend and start back into our conference play. I'm glad our defense stayed solid and Jayme came in and was able shut down [Metro State] and get outs when we needed them. It was good to get people in the lineup who haven't been playing as much in our conference games and get them some more experience to build off of and hopefully bring them into our rotations more and get everyone firing on all cylinders by the end of the season."
Northern Colorado will return to Big Sky play this weekend, hosting Portland State on April 22-23. The team will play a doubleheader on Friday with games at 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. and finish the series on Saturday at 2:00 p.m.
