2024-25 / REDSHIRT FRESHMAN:
Season: Trujillo went 6-4 during his redshirt freshman season... Trujillo recorded two wins by pin, one win by major decision, and one win by tech fall.
Roadrunner Open (11/24): Trujillo went 1-2 while competing at the Roadrunner Open. He recorded one win by pin over Luke Villaluz (Cal Poly). Reno Tournament of Champions (12/22): Trujillo went 4-2 while competing in the tournament. Taking home one win by major decision, one win by tech fall, one win by pin, and one win by decision.
2023-24 / FRESHMAN:
Season: Trujillo went 10-6 in his first year as a Lancer... Trujillo opened his freshman year at the 2023 Roadrunner Open taking home first place.
2023 Roadrunner Open (11/19): Trujillo went undefeated and took home first place at 141. Northern Illinois (12/15): Trujillo won by decision over Danny Curran, 13-10. Oaks Open (02/03): Trujillo went 3-2 while competing in the Oaks Open. He recorded two pins and one win by major decision. Rocky Mountain Collegiate Open (02/18): Trujillo went 3-1 and took home third place at 141.
HIGH SCHOOL / PERSONAL:
While in high schools, Trujillo was a three-time state placer, two-time state finalist, and a two-time Freestyle State Champion... Trujillo placed third at the NHSCA All-American.
Trujillo was born in Alamosa, Colorado and was raised in Thornton, Colorado... Son to Robert Deen and Sabrina Trujillo-Deen... Brother to Bobby and Carmen... Trujillo enjoys playing video games and lifting in his free time... Trujillo hopes to receive his master's degree and become an NCAA Champion... Trujillo chose UNC because he wanted to come back home and he loves the coaching staff.
