2014: Played four games at QB for the Bears in his first year on the team… Finished 54-93-2 with 617 yards passing and 4 TDs... had a 58.06 completion percentage… and ended the year with a 123.69 efficiency rating… Broke record for longest rush for a TD by a quarterback (74 yards) in his very first start of the year at Montana… Finished the game with 198 passing yards and 72 yards rushing… Recorded a season-high two passing touchdowns at home against Idaho State on Oct. 25, both came in the second half finished that game with 171 passing yards… Season-high 22 completions also came at Montana on Sept. 27.
At OCC: Played in nine games for Coast last year and threw for 1,271 yards and 13 touchdowns on 90-of-169 passing (53.3%) … was 19-of-29 for 324 yards and three touchdowns in a 35-28 win over Palomar on Sept. 22 … completed 20-of-34 for 243 in a 27-10 win over Pasadena on Sept. 8.
High School: Played three years of varsity football at Trabuco Hills HS … two-time Offensive Player of the Year … earned all-league honors.
Personal: Born Feb. 26, 994 in Irvine to Craig and Jennifer Newsom … a business management major at Coast … enjoys hanging out with friends and family in his spare time.
