2025: Started in 11 games at safety and delivered one of the most productive defensive seasons in the Big Sky…Led the conference in solo tackles (63) and finished with 88 total tackles, adding 2.0 tackles for loss…Posted a season-high 11 tackles against Montana State (Nov. 1) and recorded multiple double-digit tackle performances throughout the year…
Chapa was a consistent playmaker in the secondary, totaling four interceptions, including a pick at Eastern Washington (Nov. 15), while returning interceptions for 86 yards…Added eight passes defended and two forced fumbles, providing impact in both coverage and run support…Earned First Team All-Big Sky honors and was named Big Sky Defensive Player of the Week during the season…Became just the second Bear in program history to record back-to-back four-interception seasons and finished the year tied for sixth all-time at UNC in career interceptions (8).
