2014: Continued his success in the secondary during his sophomore year... Started all 11 games at safety and was fourth on the team in tackles with 68 (35 solo 33 assisted)... Also recorded 3 INTs and 5 PBUs on the year along with 3.0 TFL... Notched a season-high 9 tackles twice during the season, once against Sacramento State and the other against Idaho State...Brought in 2 INT on the road against Weber State on Nov. 15.
2013: Played big in the secondary as a freshman while playing in all 12 games… Totaled 58 tackles, 34 solo and 24 assisted... Made two tackles for a loss of five yards... Recorded 10 tackles twice, 11 against Northern Iowa on Sept. 21 and 10 at Sacramento State on Oct. 5.
2012: Redshirted... Named the scout team defensive MVP.
High School: Named to the 1A Colorado All-State team as a quarterback three-straight years... Threw for 3,069 yards and 26 touchdowns as a senior... Helped lead Wiggins to the 1A Colorado state championship game... Three-time All-Conference performer... Holds single-season and career school records in passing yards and total offense.
Personal: Is one of five children of Mitcheal and Melinda Risner... Born Feb. 3 in Branson, Missouri... Has an older brother, Austin and three younger brothers, Dalton, Kaeson and Shelden... Plans on majoring in business.
