2018-2019:
Indoor: Participated in strictly high jump and triple jump, Chavez attended and participated in 6 meets, including the Big Sky Indoor Championship. Best high jump mark...1.65m. Best triple jump mark...11.79m at the Big Sky Championship.
Outdoor: Chavez set personal records for the triple jump and the high jump. At the 2019 Tom Benich Invite Chavez was marked at 1.65m. For triple jump at the UNC Invite she was marked at 12.01m. Attended the Adidas/Steve Scott Invitational as well as the Big Sky Championship where she finished in the top 20 for the TJ and HJ.
2017-18:
Indoor: Chaves participated in high jump, long jump, and triple jump. She Started out strong placing in the top 20 for all events at the 5 meets she participated in.
Outdoor: Chavez set a personal high for long jump at the 2018 Tom Benich Invitational at 5.39m. She competed in 4 meets during this season.
High School:
Chavez attended Sterling High School where she lettered all four years in T & F. She also lettered in volleyball, basketball, and soccer. Chavez was a 2x long jump State champ as well as a 2x triple jump State champ.
Personal: Kylie Chavez was born July 14th, 1998 in Denver Colorado. Kylie is the daughter of Jeff and Kristy Chavez, and she was three brothers, Drew (age 29), Mike (age 19) and Austin (age 19). Chavez is looking to get a degree in Chemistry here at UNC.
