NCAA West Regionals Begin in Sacramento

GREELEY, Colo. -- Northern Colorado's Raphael Egbuchilem and Regina Mpigachai are set to compete at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field West Regionals this Wednesday-Saturday, May 24-27 in Sacramento, Calif.
Egbuchilem qualified for the men's 400m race with a time of time of 46.18, in which he recorded at the 2023 Big Sky championships for a gold medal.
Mpigachai qualified for the women's 80m race with a time of 2:04.98 that she set at Florida's Tom Jones Memorial in April.
Competition begins for Egbuchilem on Wednesday with the first round of the men's 400m set to begin at 8:25 p.m. (MT). The quarterfinals for the men's 400m is set for a 7:50 p.m. start on Friday.
The first round of the women's 800m is set to start at 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, with the quarterfinals taking place on Saturday at 8:05 p.m.
Those who qualify out of the quarterfinals will advance to the NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships held June 7-10 in Austin, Texas.
The meet will be streamed live on the ESPN+ platform.
