BOULDER, Colo. – Northern Colorado put together an impressive second day at the Colorado Classic on Saturday, stacking event wins, record movement, and consistent performances across the track inside the CU Indoor Practice Facility.

Daniel Beckford anchored the men's effort with a breakthrough showing in the 60-meter hurdles, taking the title in 7.83 and improving his own mark to remain second on UNC's all-time list. He later added a seventh-place finish in the 60-meter final, clocking 6.88 to move into a tie for seventh in program history. Rayvon Walkin also reached the hurdles final, finishing fifth, as UNC sent multiple athletes through the sprint prelims.

The Bears continued to shine in the men's sprints, led by Raphael Egbuchilem's sixth-place finish in the 200 meters at 21.57, matching his personal best and tying for seventh on UNC's all-time list. Edgar Garcia followed closely in seventh, while UNC added depth across the one-lap and quarter-mile events.

On the women's side, the hurdles group delivered another strong performance, paced by Alexia Austin's win in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.57. Sherika Thomas placed third in 8.76 to climb into a tie for seventh on the program's all-time chart, with Donice Bruno-Ezealah also reaching the final.

Distance standout Monique Stewart highlighted the middle-distance races with a victory in the 800 meters, running 2:09.88 to better her own No. 3 time in UNC history. Caydence Brewer added a sixth-place finish in the 400 meters, and Claire Nowels closed the day by posting the eighth-fastest 5,000-meter performance in school history.

Northern Colorado wrapped up the day with steady relay and distance efforts as competition continued at the Colorado Classic.

UP NEXT: Northern Colorado continues its indoor schedule next weekend at the Don Kirby Elite, hosted by the University of New Mexico at the Albuquerque Convention Center.
