Corder Resets UNC Record Again as Bears Post Finals Performances

GREELEY, Colo. — The University of Northern Colorado indoor track & field team continued to add record-book performances and finals appearances Friday, highlighted by another historic showing from Camaria Corder and strong hurdles performances on both the men's and women's sides.
Corder delivered the top performance of the day in the women's triple jump, winning the event with a leap of 13.07 meters (42-10.75) to reset her own program record for the second straight weekend. The mark stands as the new No. 1 performance in UNC history and No. 4 in Big Sky history.
On the track, Alexia Austin advanced to the finals of the 60-meter hurdles after running 8.65 in prelims, then finished seventh overall in the final with a time of 8.78. Monique Stewart added a top-five finish in the 800 meters, placing fourth in 2:10.81.
The men were led by Daniel Beckford, who continued his consistency in the hurdles with a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles final. Beckford clocked a 7.94 in prelims before improving to 7.90 in the final. Rayvon Walkin and Moise Bennett also competed in the hurdles prelims, posting times of 8.28 and 8.48, respectively.
Johnny Fisher represented UNC in the unseeded 60 meters, finishing 17th with a time of 7.08. The Bears closed the day with the men's 4x400 relay, as the quartet of Raphael Egbuchilem, Edgar Garcia, Fisher, and Christopher Cheatham crossed in 3:15.30.
