PREVIEW: Cross Country Preps for NCAA Pre-National Invite

GREELEY, Colo. – The Northern Colorado men's and women's cross country teams are set to compete at the NCAA Pre-Nationals Invitational, hosted by the University of Missouri, on Friday, October 17, at the Gans Creek Cross Country Course in Columbia, Missouri.
The meet features top programs from across the nation in a preview of the championship course. The women will race a 6K (3K/3K loop configuration), while the men will run an 8K (2K/3K/3K).
The course will open at 8:00 a.m. MDT, followed by the National Anthem at 8:50 a.m. The women's 6K Invitational begins at 9:00 a.m. MDT, with the men's 8K Invitational set for 9:45 a.m. MDT. An awards ceremony will follow at 10:30 a.m. MDT.
The Gans Creek course has quickly earned recognition as one of the premier venues in collegiate cross country, previously hosting NCAA regional and conference championships. The event will stream live on SEC Network+, with live results available through PrimeTime Timing.

Women's Recap – Louisville Classic (Oct. 4)
Senior Regina Mpigachai continued her record-breaking season by shattering the program's 5K record with a time of 16:52.9, finishing fifth overall at the Louisville Classic. Her performance led the Bears to a 16th-place team finish in a highly competitive field. Sabina Stroia (18:11.5) also helped pace Northern Colorado in its first 6K of the season.
Men's Recap – UCCS Open (Oct. 10)
On the men's side, Logan Gullet turned in another strong performance, placing fifth overall in the 8K at the UCCS Open. Noah Osmond (38th) and Aaron Roll (39th) joined Gullet in the top 50 as the Bears earned a top-five team finish in Colorado Springs.
