Soccer Travels to CSU for Final Exhibition of the Season

GREELEY, Colo.-Â UNC Soccer will travel just up the road to take on in-state rivals Colorado State in an exhibition on Friday. The match will be the final tune-up before regular season play commences next week.

Scouting the Rams
The Rams finished their 2021 season with an overall record of 6-8-3 and a Mountain West Conference record of 5-5-1. They also qualified for the Mountain West Tournament, making it to the first round. CSU will return 13 players to their roster and add 11 newcomers for their 2022 campaign. The Bears will be their first opponent of the season.

History Against Colorado State
UNC and CSU met twice during the 2021 season, with both matches ending in ties. The first game came as part of the Colorado Cup, where they played through two overtimes to a 2-2 stalemate. An additional match during the regular season also ended in a 1-1 tie after two overtimes. All-time, the Bears have a 2-3-3 record against the Rams and are 1-2-1 when playing in Fort Collins.
