GREELEY, Colo. — Northern Colorado Women's Soccer team wrapped up the 2025 campaign with resilience and grit, finishing the year with three wins and six hard-fought ties. Though the season's schedule proved challenging, the Bears consistently demonstrated heart, discipline, and steady growth in every phase of the game.
A signature highlight came during UNC's first-ever meeting with Oral Roberts. In a historic neutral-site showdown, the Bears secured a thrilling 1–0 victory—an achievement that showcased the team's ability to rise to big moments and compete with confidence under pressure.
Offensively, standout forward Lexi Tuite led the charge with six goals, establishing herself as one of UNC's most dependable playmakers. Her scoring prowess directly delivered two victories and helped lock in three ties, making her a constant threat to opposing defenses.
But Tuite wasn't the only Bear making an impact. Throughout the season, multiple players stepped up in key moments, contributing both on the stat sheet and in the intangible ways that shape a team's character. From timely defensive stands to creative attacking play, the roster showed impressive depth and versatility.
Within the Big Sky Conference, UNC also made its presence felt. Taryn Rea and Kaya Lindberg each earned Big Sky Player of the Week honors, recognition that highlighted their leadership and high-level performances.
Rea's strong season continued to draw praise as she was named to the Big Sky Second Team All-Conference, a testament to her consistency, composure, and influence anchoring the back line.
As the Bears look ahead, the 2025 season stands as evident to their resilience and emerging potential. With key contributors stepping into leadership roles and new talent joining the roster, UNC enters next year with momentum, confidence, and a solid foundation for future success.
