GREELEY, Colo. - Northern Colorado soccer is proud to announce the newest members joining the Bears family. These talented student-athletes represent excellence on and off the field and bring skill, determination, and passion to the program.
Â
MEET THE SIGNEES
Skylar Jones | Forward | Carlsbad, California | La Costa Canyon High School
Â
Skylar Jones joins the Bears soccer program from California. She is the daughter of Jessica and Bret Jones and has one sibling, Dylan. Her mother is a Boston College alum, while her father graduated from the University of Montana.
Â
A highly accomplished athlete, Skylar is a four-year varsity starter and a CIF All-Coastal League Honorable Mention. Her club team, City SC, placed fourth nationally in the Girls Academy League.
Â
Skylar plans to pursue a degree in Business and Communications with a focus on Sports Media. She chose UNC for its strong team culture, close-knit bond, beautiful campus, and outstanding Business program. She is excited and eager to begin her journey in Colorado.
Â
"She's a big energy player, she's a winger. Can run up and down on the fly and take players on, a good one vs one attacker" stated Head Coach, Tim Barrera.
 Â
Madeline Mori | Winger | New Westminster, British Columbia, Canada | New Westminster Secondary School
Â
Madeline Mori joins the Bears from Canada. She is the daughter of Maggi and Matt Mori and has one sibling, Amelia. Her mother is a graduate of Simon Fraser University, while her father is an alum from Capilano University.
Â
A standout athlete, Madeline played a key role in helping her team capture the 2025 2008 Girls BCSPL Provincial Championship title. She also contributed to her squad's impressive fourth-place finish at the 2025 2008 Girls Canadian National Championship.
Â
Madeline chose UNC because it offers the perfect environment to challenge herself, make an impact, and continue pursuing her passion for soccer at an elite level. She has always dreamed of playing the sport she loves while pursuing her education, and UNC provides the ideal opportunity to achieve both.
Â
"Madeline is a tricky, fast goal scorer who can play in the center of the park or out wide" said Head Coach, Tim Barrera
 Â
Sara-Eve Gaucher| Center Back | St-Damase, Québec, Canada | Fadette Secondary school
Sara joins the Bears family from Canada. She has two siblings, Élodie Gaucher and Rosalie Gaucher.
An accomplished athlete, Sara boasts an impressive record of achievements. She was a 2022 Quebec Games Champion and contributed to her team's success as the 2023–2024 PLSJQ regular season champions, Quebec Cup champions, and 2023 national champions. In 2025, she captured multiple titles, including Quebec High School Champion, Quebec RSEQ Division 1 Champion with Ahuntsic, and CCAA Division 1 National Champion with Ahuntsic. She was also named to the First All-Star Team at the 2023 National Championship.
Â
For Sara, joining the Bears was the perfect fit—both academically and athletically. Being far from home, it was important for her to find a place where she felt comfortable and supported, and she knew she had found that with the Bears.
Â
"Sara-Eve is a tall and athletic center back from Quebec, good on the ball, a set piece taker, very good in the air, a playmaker and an excellent one vs one defender" said Head Coach, Tim Barrera.
