Scouting the Lumberjacks
Northern Colorado will welcome the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks to Jackson Stadium with a 4-5-4 overall record and a Big Sky record of 3-1. NAU will take on the Bears with a two-game conference win streak, thanks to victories over Eastern Washington and Idaho. They topped the Eagles 2-0, and broke Idaho's ten-game streak of not giving up a goal in their 1-0 win over the Vandals last week. Their other Big Sky win of the season came over Idaho State, while their lone conference loss of 2022 came against Weber State earlier this year.
Â
Maddie Shafer leads Head Coach Kylie Louw's squad with five goals and four assists so far this season. Schafer scored the game winner over Idaho that claimed the win for NAU and brought Idaho's shutout streak to an end. Other notable Lumberjacks include Dai Williams and Trinity Corcoran. Williams follows closely behind Schafer with four goals and two assists. Corcoran, the team's goalie, has recorded 34 saves and six shutouts on the season.
