Bears soccer drops road tilt at Cal State Fullerton

In sports sometimes it just isn't your night. Tonight was one of those nights for UNC soccer.
Despite a solid second half that saw the Bears allow just one goal, UNC could not overcome a three-goal flurry in the first 17 minutes of the game by the Cal State Fullerton Titans and dropped the game 5-0.
The Titans outshot the Bears 18-7, including a 12-1 advantage in shots on goal. The duo of Taylor Washington and Ashley Fraza managed to record seven saves in goal for the Bears against a steady array of shots by the Titans.
The Bears close their two-game California swing with a 7 p.m. MT match against UC Irvine on Sunday, the third of five consecutive road games before returning to the friendly pitch of Jackson Field for a noon tilt against Austin Peay on Sunday, September 8.
Tim's Take: "We made some mistakes early and they made us pay. They were coming off a 2-0 blanking of Minnesota and came out flying. We played better in the second half. We knew going into this season the schedule would be a challenge and tonight was part of that. I am proud of the way we competed to the end. We'll shake this off and get ready for Irvine."
