Northern Colorado football fell to No. 4/5 Eastern Washington 48-10 in the home finale
On Senior Day, a few different Bears performed well in their final game at Nottingham Field. Trae Riek scored the team's first touchdown on a 1-yard run, while Keifer Glau, Henry Stelzner and Keifer Morris had solid days on defense.
Glau ended up with the second most tackles on the day for the team with eight, meanwhile, Stelzner was flying around the field recording seven solo tackles, including a team-leading three for a loss. Morris helped put pressure on the QB with six tackles, a forced fumble and quarterback hurry.
Eastern Washington jumped out to the early lead scoring on their first three possession of the ball game and never looked back or allowed the Bears to get into the game with the 13-0 lead. At half the Eagles led the Bears 20-0.
UNC made some halftime adjustments and moved down the field for the Riek touchdown on the first drive of the second half. A Connor Regan 25-yard pass to Dontay Warren set UNC up deep in EWU territory and was followed up four plays later by the 1-yard TD from Riek.
Despite looking to gain momentum, EWU took it right back from UNC with an eight play, 66-yard drive to extend the lead back to 20.
The Bears second touchdown of the game came just before the end of the third quarter on a Milo Hall 16-yard pass from Regan. It was again a long pass, this one 35 yards, to Warren that helped set up the score.
