Women's Soccer to Compete in 2014 Falcon Invitational

GREELEY, COLO-Â Northern Colorado women's soccer team competes in the 2014 Air Force Invitational this weekend, taking on in-state rival Air Force on Friday, Sept. 5, at 6:00 p.m. in Colorado Springs, Colorado. The invite will continue on Sunday when the Bears return home to Jackson Stadium to take on Southeast Missouri State at 2:00 p.m.
The tournament breaks down as follows: 3 points for a win, 1 point for a tie, 0 points for a loss. In case of a tie in total points, the following factors will determine placing: 1.) head to head result, 2.) goals for, and 3.) goals against. There will be an All-Tournament Team decided by the coaches at the conclusion of Sunday's matches.
The women's soccer team is coming off a difficult, 2-1 loss to North Dakota State last Sunday. The game was even until the 79th minute of the match when NDSU scored the game-winner. This is the first time since 2009 that head coach Tim Barrera's club has dropped three straight matches.
