Â
GREELEY, COLO. -Â The Northern Colorado women's soccer team wraps up their five-game home stand this weekend taking on rival Wyoming, in the "Front Range Derby", Friday, Sept. 19 at 7:00 p.m. The Bears finish non-conference play on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 12:00 p.m. squaring off against Bryant University.
The Bears defeated the Cowgirls last season, 1-0 in the Front Range Derby to keep the traveling trophy in Greeley. The Front Range Derby began in 2009, but the scores on the trophy go back to the beginning of the Division I era.Â
"Wyoming has always been a rival of ours," said head coach Tim Barrera. "They have always had a lot of Colorado kids and our teams know each other pretty well. It's always a fun game because we play them every year in both the fall and the spring."
