Women's Soccer Squares off Against Colorado State, North Dakota State

GREELEY, Colo. – After kicking off its 2014 campaign last weekend with the inaugural Colorado Cup, the Northern Colorado women's soccer team season moves into week two. The Bears will make the drive to Fort Collins, Colorado to take on Colorado State University in another Colorado Cup match on Thursday, Aug. 28, before returning home to Jackson Stadium to square off against North Dakota State University on Sunday, Aug. 31.
The match against Colorado State was originally scheduled for Friday, Aug. 29, but due to a conflict with the Colorado vs. Colorado State football game, it was moved to Thursday, Aug. 28.
In the season's opening weekend, The Bears downed Colorado College, 3-2, defeating the Tigers for the first time in school history. They then traveled to Boulder, Colorado where they lost a heartbreaker against the Buffaloes, 1-0.
Colorado State opened the season against Colorado on Aug. 22, with the Buffaloes taking the game, 2-0. This is will be the first home game for the Rams in 2014.
North Dakota comes into the weekend owners of a 2-0 record. The Bison's first win came against Big Sky opponent and in-state rival, North Dakota. NDSU hung on to a, 1-0 victory over UND. The Bison then hosted Presentation College (NAIA), handily defeating the Saints, 8-0.
