2016-17:
Indoor: Competed in the 400m dash and the 4x400m relay… Ran a 48.50 in the 400m dash at the Don Kirby Invitational… Ran the 400m dash in the Big Sky Championships and finished 19th overall… Ran the 4x400m relay twice and finished with a time of 3:28.84 at the Air Force Invitational.
Outdoor: Ran in the 400m dash, 4x100m relay, and 4x400m relay… Ran all three of these events in the Big Sky Championships… Ran a 47.25 in the 400m dash at the Big Sky Championships to come in third overall… Ran the 4x100m relay with Alex Mead, Bailey Sexton, and Demetrius Graves at the Big Sky Championships for a time of 41.47 and a sixth place finish… Ran the 4x400m relay with Antoine Coates, Evan Keely, and Keegan Lape with a time of 3:15.69 to come in sixth overall at the Big Sky Championships.
2015-16:
Indoor: Competed in five regular season events and qualified for the Big Sky Indoor Championships for the third season in a row... Fastest time in the 200m dash and 400m dash were 22.30 (at Air Force Invite) and 49.05 (at Meyo Invitational)... Picked up two first place finishes in the 400m event at the Montana State Duels and CSM Alumni Classic... Led 4x400m relay team to a 4th place finish at the Big Sky Indoor Championships and placed 6th individually at the meet in the 400m.
Outdoor: Season-best time in the 400m dash came at the CU Invitational where he ran a 47.48-second 400m... finishing in 1st place in the race at the event. Had a 6th place finish at the highly coveted Oregon Relays in the 400m with a time of 48.59 seconds... Led the 4x400m relay team to a 3rd place showing at Oregon Relays as well... Qualified for his third straight Big Sky Track and Field Outdoor Championships... Led the 4x400m relay team to a first place finish and All-Big Sky Honors and placed 4th overall in the 400m dash, with a time of 47.74 seconds in the finals.
2014-15:
Indoor: Competed in six events during his sophomore season. Placed 2nd at the Big Sky Indoor Championships in the 400m dash with a time of 47.40, a PR and new school record for Medina at the time. He also earned All-Conference honors that season... Also placed first in the men's 4x400m relay at the Championships, clocking in at 3:11.83 another UNC program record... Raked in four first place finishes, including a top finish at the highly coveted Don Kirby Invite in the 400m dash.
Outdoor: Competed in eight events, including qualifying for the Big Sky Championships for the second straight season... Set a new Personal Record in the 400m dash of 47.10 seconds at the Jack Christensen Invite (4/25/15) which sits as the 6th-best time in school history... His 4x400m relay team placed 2nd at the Big Sky Outdoor Championships and he finished 3rd in the 400 with a time of 47.28 seconds... which qualifed him for the NCAA West Regionals... Medina ran a 48.60 in the 400m at the NCAA regional and placed 45th.
2013-14:
Indoor: Qualified for Big Sky Championships in 400 meters and was a member of 4x400 relay team that placed sixth...Placed fifth in 400 meters...Time of 48.78 in 400 meters Jan. 31 at Idaho State's Mountain State games placed him third in event and was seventh-best in school history at that time...Competed in 200 meters twice, recording his best time (22.54 seconds) Feb. 15 at the Air Force Open.
Outdoor: Qualified for Big Sky Championships in 400 meters and was a member of 4x400 relay team, placing eighth and first, respectively...His time of 47.70 in the 400 meters at the Big Sky Championships was the 10th-best time in school history at that time.
High School: Lettered four times in track and field and twice in football...A member of the state championship 4x400m relay team in 2011 and 2012; the 2012 team broke the state record in the event.
Personal: Born Oct. 14 to Ruben and Dawn Medina in Aurora...Has one older sister and one younger brother...Will study sport and exercise science at Northern Colorado.
