PREVIEW: Bears Travel to Albuquerque for New Mexico Two-Day Indoor Meet

GREELEY, Colo. - Â The indoor track & field team will head to Albuquerque, N.M., for a two-day meet hosted by New Mexico on Friday, Jan. 30, and Saturday, Jan. 31.

LAST TIME OUT: Northern Colorado track & field split competition across two meets last weekend, posting a full day of finals appearances, event wins, record-book movement and a program-record performance by Camaria Corder at meets hosted by the University of Colorado and UCCS. At CU, the men were led by Daniel Beckford's runner-up finish in the 60-meter hurdles (7.96) and strong sprint depth from Johnny Fisher, Christopher Cheatham and Edgar Garcia, while the women highlighted the day with three finalists in the 60-meter hurdles, a meet-winning 1000 meters from Sabina Stroia (3:10.15) and additional all-time marks from Lucy Varela, Donice Bruno-Ezealah and Sherika Thomas. Meanwhile at UCCS, the Bears continued to climb the program record book as Corder broke the UNC triple jump record with a winning leap of 13.01m and added a No. 3 all-time mark in the long jump, Kiana Van Haaren captured wins in the long jump and 60-meter prelims with her jump ranking No. 2 in program history, April Necaise claimed the high jump title, and Tyler Rogers moved to third all-time in the men's high jump with a 6-10.5 clearance.
