PREVIEW: Track & Field Set to Compete at Graduate Classic

GREELEY, Colo. – Northern Colorado track & field continues its indoor slate this weekend, traveling to Lincoln, Neb., for the Graduate Classic, hosted by Nebraska Track and Field at the Devaney Center Indoor Track.
Competition spans Friday and Saturday, Jan. 16-17, with events beginning Friday afternoon and resuming Saturday morning. Admission is free.
LAST TIME OUT: Northern Colorado closed out competition at the UCCS Pre-Holiday Invite & Multi with another strong showing, highlighted by a new addition to the program's all-time list, multiple podium finishes and a host of personal-best performances.
On the men's side, Moise Bennett led the way by placing eighth in the heptathlon with 4,454 points to move to No. 5 on the UNC Top-10 All-Time list, while also earning a third-place finish in the 60-meter hurdles; Johnny Fisher added podium efforts with a PR in the 60 and a third-place run in the 200.
The women were paced by April Necaise, who placed third in the high jump with a clearance of 1.67 meters to rank tied for seventh all-time at UNC and inside the NCAA Division I top 70, as the Bears wrapped up the meet with additional PRs across sprints, hurdles and distance events.
